In this work, the main keys identified by its author, José Mª Cid Ruiz, are described in a pleasant but rigorous way, to achieve success in the protocols of pair formation, maintenance in the aquarium, reproduction and development of larvae of this peculiar australian freshwater goby.  The article deals in detail with the formation of reproductive groups and their subsequent spawning. The results of experimenting with aquariums of different mixes of fresh water and seawater are also exposed to provide them with the appropriate hardness for their reproductive processes. Subsequently, the spawning and the development of their tiny larvae are described (they hatch in the middle of the organ formation process) and how were used various cultures of freshwater microorganisms, such as infusoria, microlombrices, “micro-eels of the vinegar ”, among others.

En este trabajo, se describe de forma amena pero rigurosa, las principales claves identificadas por su autor, José Mª Cid Ruiz, para lograr tener éxito en los protocolos de formación de parejas, mantenimiento en acuario, reproducción y desarrollo de larvas de este peculiar gobio dulceacuícola australiano. En el artículo se aborda con detalle, la formación de grupos reproductivos y sus posteriores desoves. También son expuestos los resultados de experimentar con acuarios de diferente mezcla de agua dulce y agua de mar para dotarles de la dureza adecuada a sus procesos reproductivos. Con posterioridad, se describen los desoves y el desarrollo de sus diminutas larvas (eclosionan en pleno proceso formativo de órganos) y como se ensayaron como primer alimento diversos cultivos de microorganismos de agua dulce,  tales como,  infusorios, microlombrices, “micro-anguilillas del vinagre”, entre otros.
